I love New Mexico and consider it the only place woth living in the USA. Aside from the Californicators, Rich people and Artists which I tend to Ignore, Taos is a beautiful place but is slipping into the tourist trap thing not unlike tombstone ,Az.
While bumming around the Taos NM area A few years ago I was invited to a christmas dance celebration at the Taos Pueblo. Taos Pueblo is the only living Native American community designated both a World Heritage Site ,and a National Historic Landmark. The multi-storied adobe buildings have been continuously inhabited for over 1000 years.
Taos Pueblo is also the oldest inhabited town in the USA - maybe in north america.
anyhoo, I was wandering around the pueblo and took this pic accross the main cemetery looking toward the snow covered mountain.
