foraging gear

My good friend and tequila drinking buddy Bushpuukko over at Bushcraftusa forums posted this info a while back about his forging gear for the woods. I have been meaning to post it here but had forgotten about it.

I like the gear selection and the old break action shot gun. I have similar things I use for foraging also, it never ceases to amaze me that out door types seem to gravitate to the same type of equipment no matter where they are from in the world.

I hope you like the info and pics,

This is the gear I took with me today when I went foraging. Included are an H&R .12ga and a Mora 521 thats been heavily modified. The rest should be self explanatory.
I carry various size shot shells form 8's to buck for whatever I come across.
I carry a back up SAK with cordage, lighter, sewing needles.
On my person in a cargo pocket I had a space blanket and contractors trash bag. The brown cloth bag is for any wild edibles I come across. Today I found Chickweed, Black Walnut, a handful of Pecans, Pine needles and Pine nuts, White Oak acorns, Cattails to name a few.
